Graduate in physics at the University of Rome, February 1958.
Professor of Physics at the University of Rome "Tor Vergata" and a member of the Academic Senate of the University.
Main research activity has been focused on the study of hadronic physics and in particular the excited states of the three quark system with the polarized and tagged gamma-ray beams produced by the backscattering in flight of laser light on the ultra-relativistic electrons circulating in storage rings.
Chairman of the National Committee for the Physical Sciences of the Ministry of Public Education and the National Committee for Nuclear Research of INFN (the National Institute for Nuclear Physics).
1966 - Founder of the International School on Disarmament and Research on Conflicts together with E. Amaldi Isodarco.
Present time - Director and President of the Board.
Author of more than 100 articles in reviewed international scientific journals and editor of several books on Nuclear and Elementary Particles Physics.
