Education

Feodor Voytolovsky graduated from Lomonosov Moscow State University with a degree in history in 2001 and completed his postgraduate studies at IMEMO RAS in 2004.

In 2004, Mr. Voytolovsky became a Candidate of political science with his thesis “Perception of the Political Globalization Processes by Political Elites and Social Movements in the United States and the European Union.”

In 2013, he received his PhD in political science with his thesis “Ideology and Practices of Atlanticism in U.S. Foreign Policy.”

Area of expertise

U.S. foreign and security policy; NATO; relations between the U.S. and allies; U.S. policy in Pacific Asia; international organizations; global governance; forecasting international political processes.

Mr. Voytolovsky has served on the Editorial Board of the journal World Economy and International Relations since 2010 and the Editorial Board of the IMEMO RAS Global Development almanac since 2006.

In 2009, the Russian Academy of Sciences awarded him its 2008 First Prize Medal for the next generation of researchers for his personal monograph “Unity and Disintegration in the West.”

Mr. Voytolovsky is the author of over 55 publications.

Teaching activity

Since 2009, Mr. Voytolovsky has been a part-time lecturer in the Program for Applied Studies of International Challenges, Political Science Department, Moscow State Institute (University) of International Relations under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia.

Mr. Voytolovsky speaks English and Spanish.
